Roy Hopp

Roy Hopp is the Director of Music at the Woodlawn Christian Reformed Church in Grand Rapids, Mich., and a Guitar Instructor at the Reformed Bible College, also in Grand Rapids. Previous positions include work at CRC Publications and director of music and choral conducting at various other CRC churches in Michigan and Colorado. Hopp has composed numerous hymn tunes and anthems, many of them published by Selah Publishing Co., including The Roy Hopp Hymnary (1990), "I Was Glad" (1996), "The God of Love My Shepherd Is" (1993), and those included in Songs of Rejoicing (1989) and New Songs of Rejoicing (1994).

Hopp born in Sheboygan, Wisc. in 1951. He received his BA in Music Education from Calvin College in Grand Rapids, and his MM in choral Conducting from Michigan State University. He has done graduate studies in church Music and composition at Concordia College in River Forest, Ill.
