The title of this brief organ work means “little fugue,” and the music is indeed a relatively traditional fugue, based upon a lyric subject. The piece is dedicated to Bryon Adams, a friend of the composer’s, who is himself a noted composer, musicologist, and champion of traditional compositional techniques.
