Description
A challenging a cappella work for large choir, with its shifting meters, divisi in all parts, and rich sonorities. Well worth the effort!

Reviews
"David Ashley White's Alleluia for SSAATTBB choir was commissioned by the Houston Masterworks Chorus for its tenth anniversary season, and, like most occasional music, it will demand more rehearsal time than the average anthem. It is powerful, sinewy music, built like a brick rondo; maybe I'm hearing things, but I would swear that the quiet, second contrasting section has mixolydian overtones reminiscent of White's tune BREWER, named for the Houston Masterworks Chorus director, Robert Brewer. In any event, this stunning piece is highly recommended." AAM Journal, January 1998
