John Worst
John Worst was born in Grand Rapids, Mich., in 1940. He has worked as a composer and professor of music his whole professional life, and is Professor Emeritus at Calvin College in Grand Rapids, Mich., where he taught from 1966 to 2001. Previously he taught at Dordt College, Sioux Center, Iowa, and the University of Michigan. Worst studied at Calvin College, Ohio State University, and the University of Michigan where he received his doctorate in composition. He edited Songs of Rejoicing along with David Schaap; was a contributor to Youth, Electronic Medioa, and Popular Art; and was the arranger of the Hymn of the Month, sets 1-4, for Christian Schools International.
