Michael Larkin
Michael Larkin is chairperson of the voice department and an artist/faculty voice teacher at the Wilmington Music School in Wilmington, Del. He is also Director of Music Ministry at St. Mary Anne's Episcopal Church in North East, Md., and is founder and music director of the New Ark Chorale of Newark, Del. In addition, he is Eastern Division Chairperson for Music and Worship for the American Choral Directors Association. He is known nationally as a clinician and adjudicator in various aspects of vocal/choral music as well as the church music profession. With over 100 compositions in print, Dr. Larkin has gained a national reputation as a composer and arranger of both sacred and secular music.
Larkin earned his undergraduate degree in vocal music education from the University of Delaware, a Master of Music in vocal performance from the Catholic University of America, and a doctor of musical arts degree in music education with a concentration in choral conducting from Temple University.
