 Robert
Brewer
Robert Brewer has been the organist/choirmaster
at St. Paul's United Methodist Church in Houston since 1980.
Previously he was the assistant organist at The Church of the
Redeemer and Chapelwood UMC, both in Houston. He has had several
solo organ recitals at Westminster Abbey and has been the accompanist
for vocal studios and the Houston Oratorio Society. He serves
as Music Director of Houston Masterworks Chorus, a community
chorus.
Brewer was born in Houston in 1952. He was
educated at the University of Cincinnati, College Conservatory
of Music, Rice University, and the University of Houston. He
received a Masters in Music in Organ in 1992 from Indiana University.
In 1993, Selah published his anthem, King of Glory, King of
Peace.
