Review
"Prelude on KREMSER by Robert J. Powell has what is almost a sicilienne musically. The opening phrase in the accompaniment has a hint of Yon's Gesu Bambino, but at the point of realization, the comparison disappears. There is a central section with a modulation by thirds (F to D, and then back to F). It is not at all difficult." --AAM Journal, July/August 2010

Description
This prelude on KREMSER presents the tune in the form of a lilting siciliana, providing a lyrical alternative to the many bombastic double trumpet pieces in the repertoire. The two trumpets play together homophonically throughout, making the work easy to rehearse.
