This piece was the winning composition in the Chicago, Illinois, area student composition contest sponsored by the Institute for the Study of American Evangelicals (ISAE) at Wheaton College through a grant from the Lilly Endowment.
Kit Mills was born in Seattle, Washington, in 1977. He is a graduate of Wheaton College in Wheaton, Illinois, where he received a Bachelor of Music degree in Composition.
