Anthem text
This has been home through every generation,
where we have borne the past, seen all things through,
our spirits’ haven and our sure foundation,
the hearthstone of our dwelling place in You.
When time began there were no mountains towering,
when no birds sang, but silence filled the sky,
until you brought creation into flowering
with wonders for the soul, the ear and eye.
From everlasting unto everlasting,
you have been God, still are, will ever be,
you move through time, eternal and unresting,
yet dwell in us here in community.
Come, as you live among us tell your story,
let servants see your work revealed today,
let children catch some little glimpse of glory,
in simple things find grandeur on display.
God, let your spirit fill us as we gather,
and fit our hands to do your work of grace,
that we may show in all we do together
our common life to be your dwelling place.
