Description
A fine, sensitive choral setting of the Gregorian Marian Antiphon. The composer subjects the traditional chant melody to a variety of creative textures and metrical and contrapuntal treatments: the result is both highly expressive and musically satisfying. There is some divisi on the final page. The text is given in Latin: a translation and a pronunciation guide are included. A wonderful addition to the Marian repertoire.
