Review
"The best of the harvest anthems is the last, Wayne Wold's 'Be in My Seeing.' James Quinn's text clearly uses 'Be thou my vision' as a model; while it has all of the Celtic charm of its original, it has its own integrity as well. Add to that Wold's tenderly persuading tune in a superb setting and this is a winner, indeed! ...This is an exquisite piece with tremendous usefulness; your choir will bless you for buying it!" --AAM Journal, May/June 2001

Description
A lovely anthem with a tuneful melody and rich harmony. James Quinn's text invites Christ into all aspects of our daily life and daily struggles, and Wold's setting of this personal text reminds us of Christ's presence in our life.

Text
Be in my seeing,
O God of my heart:
all is as nothing
beside heaven's King.
Be in my thinking
by day and by night.
Be in my sleeping,
the dream of my soul.

Be in my speaking;
be light of my mind.
Be, Lord, within me;
may I be in you.
Be my dear Father;
may I be your child.
Be my own always;
take me as your own.

Be, Lord, my war-shield,
the sword in my hand.
Be my high honor;
be all my delight.
Be my protection,
my fortress of strength.
Bring me where angels
are singing your praise.

Be my salvation
in body and soul.
Be my true kingdom
in heav'n and on earth.
Be my own loved one,
great joy of my heart,
You and no other,
O heaven's high King.
