Description
This delightful, celebratory anthem of thanksgiving includes optional parts for handbell and children’s choirs. It would make an excellent choice for a festive Sunday employing many church ensembles. Fedak takes passages from Psalm 9 to build in intensity, then uses a placid middle section with a choral ostinato, "The Lord is a refuge," and ends as it begins with a bold and rhythmic offering of thanksgiving.

I will give thanks to the Lord with my whole heart.
I will be glad and exult in you;
I will tell of your wonderful works.
I will sing of your marvelous deeds
and give praise to your name, O most high.
The Lord is a refuge for the oppressed,
a stronghold in time of trouble,
and those who know your name
put their trust in you, O Lord.
