Description
A lovely anthem of the faith we need and have as Christians.

Anthem text
Now faith is the promise of things hoped for,
the conviction of things not seen.
By faith we understand that the world was created
by the word of God, so that what we see
gives evidence of things unseen.
--Hebrews 11:1-3

Faith is the yes of the heart
and the playing of children.
Faith is the walk in the dark
and the ring at the wedding.
Faith is the blush of the mind
and the kiss of the Spirit.
Faith is the mother of love
and the child in the making.
Faith sees the Christ in the bread
and the Christ in the chalice.
Faith sees the rise from the dead
and the sharing of harvest.
Faith feels the day before dawn,
smells the rose before blooming.
Faith eats the heavenly feast,
hears the sound of God's trumpet.
Faith is a rainbow in rain
and a tomb that is empty.
Faith is the end from the start
and beginnings in endings.
