Anthem texts

Your Love, O God-Russell Schulz-Widmar
Your love, O God, has called us here,
for all love finds its source in you,
the perfect love that casts out fear,
the love thatChrist makes ever new.

O gracious God, you consecrate
all that is lovely, good, and true.
Bless us who in your presence wait,
our trust in your desires renew.

Your love will send us from this place;
reveal your will in all we do,
that every path of love we trace
may show the world its source in you.

Sweet Is the Day
Sweet is the day with praise begun:
it makes our work and pleasure one
to come before you, God, and raise
a song, a shout, a psalm of praise.

Sweet is your voice O Holy One,
as you declare what you have done:
you took the weight we bore away,
to make our burden light this day.

Sweet is your work, like honeycomb:
the blessing tasted by your own,
when, from the rock of daily care,
you bring the sweetness that you share.

--Richard Leach, 1999 (based on Psalm 81)
